AURORA, III. (September 1, 2004) - Clear Channel Entertainment’s Motor Sports division today received confirmation that reigning THQ World Supercross GP champion Heath Voss will defend his THQ World Supercross GP title by committing to race in the two international rounds of THQ World Supercross GP at SkyDome in Toronto December 4 and BC Place Stadium in Vancouver on December 11.

Voss, of Mico, Texas, piloted his Mach 1 Yamaha to the THQ World Supercross GP championship, earning top honors and giving Yamaha its second world championship in as many seasons.

“ It’s an honor to be the reigning THQ World Supercross GP champion,” said Voss. “Last year was a breakout season for not only myself but my team, Mach 1 Yamaha. When the season starts, I will -basically - be starting where I left off in Las Vegas at the finals. I will be riding the same Yamaha, and I have more confidence than ever.”

“ Now that Ricky Carmichael and Heath Voss have all signed on to race the first two rounds of THQ World Supercross GP in Toronto and Vancouver, we have the reigning THQ World Supercross GP champion (Voss) and a three-time THQ AMA Supercross Series champion (Carmichael) scheduled to race,” said Charlie Mancuso, president, Clear Channel Entertainment - Motor Sports.

The two international races coupled with 15 of the domestic races (excluding the Daytona Supercross) comprise the 17-round THQ World Supercross GP. In 2003, Yamaha’s Chad Reed, of Dade City, Fla., won the THQ World Supercross GP championship, capturing nine main event wins on the year.
