Motor Sports division today announced that the pre-race
press conference from final round of THQ World Supercross
GP/AMA Supercross Series from Las Vegas Sam Boyd
Stadium will be available to fans live on www.sxgp.com
<http://www.sxgp.com> Friday, May 2 from Noon-2:00
p.m. PST. The top three riders in 125cc and 250cc competition
will be on hand to answer questions from the media.
With
the rising popularity of SXGP.coms live post-race
press conference, broadcasting Fridays live, pre-race
press conference on SXGP.com from Sam Boyd Stadium in
Las Vegas became an easy decision, said Mark Abernethy,
senior director of marketing, Clear Channel Entertainment.

The free race coverage begins at 7:00 p.m. (local race
time) and fans must have Windows Media Player, which
can be easily downloaded. Each Wednesday following the
race, fans can also watch video footage of the press
conference on SXGP.com. In addition, XM Radios
Channel 152 provides live coverage of the race each
week from 9:00 -11:00 p.m.
For
only the third time in the sport of supercross
history, the 250cc championship will be decided in Las
Vegas. Yamahas Chad Reed has won the last five
races over two-time defending champion Ricky Carmichael.

Spencer (Reeds trainer) and I set a goal to win
the last six races, and we have one to go, said
Reed.
A
controversial pass by Reed last weekend sent Carmichael
to the ground as Reed rode off to his sixth AMA Supercross
Series victory. Reed trails Carmichael by 10 points
heading into Vegas.
The
final round of THQ World Supercross/AMA Supercross Series
will air on ABCs Wide World of Sports Sunday,
May 4 at 2:00-3:00 p.m. EST/3:00-4:00 p.m. PST.

THQ World Supercross GP and AMA Supercross Series
THQ World Supercross GP is a 17-round global series
that is produced and promoted by Clear Channel Entertainment
and Dorna Off Road S.L. Riders must compete in the international
rounds to be eligible to win the world championship.
In 2002-2003, the 17-event THQ World Supercross GP will
be comprised of two international events in Geneva,
Switzerland and Arnhem, Holland, and 15 of the 16 events
that are conducted in major markets throughout the United
States as a part of the AMA Supercross Series. The other
AMA Supercross Series event held in Daytona Beach, Fla.,
is independently produced by the International Speedway
Corporation, and is not a part of the THQ World Supercross
