My first year at the U.S. Open was in 2005 and I was pumped. Watching RC blast down the straight-away and into the tunnel outside was amazing! I love the noise of 450cc thumpers ripping around the Grand Garden arena. This was the first indoor event RC raced on the 450 and that thing just barked! I couldn't believe all of the celebrities in the house! I saw Travis Pastrana, Cary Hart & Miguel Duhamel just to name a few! I can’t wait to get back this year.

Watching Chad Reed win the 2004 US Open after chasing Ricky Carmichael. It did suck that RC broke his clutch and dropped out of the Saturday night program. Reed was a man on a mission. It was also cool seeing Carmichael riding his new Suzuki.

In 2001 we went to see my nephew race the 85cc class. I hadn't seen him race for awhile so I was impressed at how much faster he had become. He did okay on Friday finishing top 7. On Saturday he got third, I think, in the first moto, and then to our whole families suprise and to the crowds pleasure he won the
2nd and final moto and finished 3rd overall. He since has become much faster and has won several nationals and supercrosses and a couple of championships.
